Yep, Here It Is, the Official Big Mac Sauce Recipe

For years, knockoff recipes for McDonald's Big Mac sauce have floated around the Interwebs. But now, you can get the real special sauce recipe, from a real executive chef at McDonald's, who's even teaching you exactly how to prepare the tasty sauce in a new video.

And, surprisingly, there's nothing funky on the ingredients list … all the items in the sauce can be purchased at a regular supermarket.

McDonald's executive chef Dan Coudreaut unfolds the secret -- well, formerly secret -- sauce recipe and how-to in a new video filmed in response to a McDonald's fan's query about just what's in the sauce.

Posted on McDonald's Canada's YouTube site, Coudreaut makes a Big Mac in his own home kitchen, showing the ingredients needed for the burger assembly -- sesame seed buns, of course, as well as cheese, onions, lettuce, pickles and ground beef -- and whipping up a batch of sauce.

The ingredients: mayo, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white wine vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika (which helps give the sauce its color). Simple enough, right?

MyFox8.com reports that McDonald's has sold approximately 47 billion Big Macs -- the sandwich was introduced nationally in 1968 -- which means the fact that the secret sauce has gone public probably isn't going to dent the chain's sales of the beloved burger.

This guy is supposed to be a chef and he did the entire recipe without any amounts! How are we supposed to make the sauce without knowing how much of each ingredient is needed?
