Michael J. Fox Turns 50
Alex P. Keaton at 50?
He'll always be Marty McFly to us, but Michael J. Fox is not a teenager anymore. Today is the Back to the Future actor's birthday and he's turning the big 5-0. Of course, our favorite 80s star still has his baby-faced good looks and, despite his very public battle with Parkinsons, still pops up on tv from time to time.

Have you ever met anyone who didn't like Michael J. Fox? He's always been one of the most likeable Hollywood actors. In addition to his role in the Back to the Future movies, the Canadian-American starred in 1985's cheesy-but-awesome movie Teen Wolf (Jason Bateman did the sequel) and has lately been courted by the cast of the new television series of the same name to appear as a guest star.
Of course, Fox has always had his foot in the TV door with seminal series like Family Ties (as Alex P. Keaton) and Spin City (as Michael Flaherty). And, he continues to work when the scripts are right as with his second appearance last February on CBS' hit drama, The Good Wife.

Fox has been married to actress Tracy Pollan since 1988 (she played Alex's girlfriend Ellen on Family Ties and the two have been inseparable since) and the couple has four children, ranging in ages from 9 to 22. Of course, Fox has been very public about his struggle with Parkinson's Disease since 1990 and has been a leading advocate of Parkinson's research and stem cell studies.
Michael J. Fox may be 50 today, but to us, he'll always be that kid in the orange "life preserver" zooming around Hill Valley on his skateboard.
