We suppose it's only right. After all, Michael Jackson was a spiffy dresser and he liked to look good. So, it makes sense that he should be laid to rest wearing his finest. And his finest was a suit that cost $35,000.

Michael Jackson's funeral cost at least 1 million dollars and his estate was responsible for paying that. Could you imagine Michael's funeral any different though? He needed one last big show to honor his life.

Besides the $35,000 suit, Michael's casket cost $25,000 and $175,089 was spent on security for the funeral. Also, Michael was entombed inside the Grand Mausoleum, which costs $590,000! Other expenses included $11,716 for invitations and programs and $16,000 for flowers. We're sure it was an incredibly beautiful funeral.

It took 70 days from Michael Jackson's death before he was buried, so the funeral was a long time coming. It's said that the Jackson family was 90 minutes late to the event and other notable guests included Al Sharpton, Elizabeth Taylor, and Stevie Wonder. We hope that Michael can finally rest in peace!
