Michael Moore, George Clooney lead Venice Film Fest
It's movie mayhem.
The Venice Film Festival is the oldest film festival in the world, and its top prize, The Golden Lion, is considered one of the highest awards in the film industry. This year, Michael Moore's new documentary, Capitalism: a Love Story, is a leading contender.
The new film is typical Moore, except this time instead of setting his sights on the NRA, President Bush or the healthcare system, he's out to lambaste our nation's economic system.
According to the film's distributors, it will take "a comical look at the corporate and political shenanigans" that resulted in the nation's current recession.
But Moore's not the only one with a new film to premier. George Clooney will star with Kevin Spacey, Jeff Bridges and Ewan McGregor in The Men Who Stare at Goats, a movie about the Army's use of psychic soldiers.
Matt Damon also has a new flick out called The Informant! It tells the story of a corrupt executive who turns into a whistleblower, and helps to bring down a ruthless corporation.
