Always-plugged-in Miley Cyrus surprised us with her Twitter exit.

"Everything that I do, those lame gossip sites take it and they make it news."

Ouch! Miley Cyrus got rid of her Twitter account last week, leaving us all wondering why. Was it true her new lovebird told her no more tweeting? In a new low-budge video Miley explains her Twitter exodus.

It's one of those videos that makes you feel a little embarrassed just for watching, but Miley uses YouTube to make things clear: "Yeah the rumors are true, that I deleted my Twitter." Her friends didn't force her to get off Twitter, she says, and her goal was to stop "living for moments" and "tabloids" and start "living for people ... and living for me."

"I was a little obsessed," Miley raps, "but I'm peacin' out, and I'm leaving with this. Goodbye."

Okay Miley, we promise to stop asking why you deleted your Twitter if you promise never to make a video like this again. Deal?
