Miley Cyrus Song Pulled From Grammy Nomination
Poor Miley!
So it wasn't going to be a Grammy for Miley Cyrus, but it was still a Grammy for a Miley Cyrus song. And that would have been pretty cool for Miley. But now her song, "The Climb," has been pulled from the list of Grammy nominations. Do you think she's upset?
Miley Cyrus's song "The Climb" has been huge this year. No matter if you're a Miley fan or not, you have to admit it's a pretty fun and beautiful-sounding song. And it wasn't a huge surprise that the song was nominated for a Grammy in the category best song written for a motion picture.
But now the song has been pulled from the list of nominations. "The Climb," which was written by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe, is sung by Miley and was featured in her movie, Hannah Montana: The Movie. But now the song has been ruled ineligible for a Grammy since it wasn't written specifically for the film. According to the Academy, they go "to great lengths to review submissions through a meticulous and rigorous screening process... Despite this procedure, there are rare occasions where changes are required."
.
In place of "The Climb," Karen O's "All is Love" from Where the Wild Things Are has been nominated. Also in the group are Bruce Springsteen's "The Wrestler" from the movie of the same name and "Jai Ho" from Slumdog Millionaire.
Do you think Miley Cyrus will ever get her Grammy moment of glory?
