Miley Cyrus Under Fire For Gay Slur At Concert
Miley Cyrus may learn to choose her words more carefully.
We know she's just 16 and that living her life in front of the world can't always be a night at the prom, but last week Miley Cyrus was caught on film making a big fat flub that is garnering major criticism.
Cyrus gave a concert in Lexington, Kentucky last week, and when she went to sing her song "7 Things," she switched out some of the lyrics to say "You're gay," and here's how the message played out:
"The seven things I hate about you, oh you
You're vain, you're gay, you're insecure..."
And now just about anyone who has ever known a gay person is lashing out at Miley for even loosely calling someone "gay" as an insult and suggesting that being gay is hate-worthy. Critics say that even though she's young, Miley Cyrus should be a little more celebrity street-smart than to make a biggot-esque slur so insensitively.
.
Slinging insults at other people is never in style, but watch the video of the performance to decide for yourself whether this is just an out-of-breath performance or utter poor taste.
We personally don't care to see this display again, but as Family Guy demonstrated to Miley Cyrus last week, all's fair in love and Hollywood.
