Mindy McCready is the high-drama country singer whose longtime affair with married baseball pro Roger Clemens made her better known than her music did. McCready has a well known history of drug abuse and suicide attempts, and we have a breaking report that Mindy McCready has just been hospitalized on drug suspicions.

TMZ first posted the breaking report, revealing that at 10:45 a.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, paramedics were called to the residence of Mindy McCready's mother in North Fort Myers, Florida. McCready, 34, was transported to Cape Coral Hospital and is currently being treated.

While McCready's specific illness has not been confirmed and her condition remains unknown, sources suggest that McCready may be suffering a drug overdose. McCready has been in the headlines for drug overdoses and suicide attempts in the past, with her brother discovering a "very intoxicated" McCready with slit wrists in December 2008. McCready also tried to kill herself in 2005, while pregnant with her now four-year-old son.
