Miss California Carrie Prejean Loses Crown
The Donald has spoken.
You remember Carrie Prejean right? She was the one who came in as the runner-up in the Miss USA contest and created controversy when it was said that she would have won had she not said that she believed marriage should be reserved for men and women. Last month, Donald Trump decided that she would be allowed to keep her crown, but that has all changed.
Carrie Prejean has officially been fired. According to executive director Keith Lewis, Prejean was not honoring her contractual obligations. She reportedly failed to show up to over thirty appearances. He said, "This was a business decision, based solely on contract violations. After our press conference in New York we had hoped we would be able to forge a better working relationship. However, since that time it has become abundantly clear that Carrie has no desire to fulfill her obligations under our contract and work together."
Shortly before her firing, Carrie Prejean reportedly sent pageant officials nasty emails to which Donald Trump said, "To me she was the sweetest thing. Everyone else -- she treated like s---."
First runner-up in the Miss California USA competition, Tami Farrell, will be taking over as Miss California.
There you have it. Controversy over. She's out.
