Modern Bride magazine has its 25 Trendsetters of 2009 awards last night and the event was filled with all kinds of trendsetters, not just of the bridal variety.

Anyone with a wedding in the near future would be wise to check out Modern Bride's list of 25 Trendsetters of 2009. The awards are given to the best of the best in the bridal industry and will help guarantee you your dream wedding. Many of the awards focus on fashion because being modern and fashionable is obviously extremely important on your wedding day.

Ivanka Trump was named a trendsetter for her line of jewelry perfect for brides. While Jennifer Behr was awarded for her fabulous hair accessory line.

But lots of other trendsetters were also present at the awards and the New York Palace Hotel. Celebrities attending the event included Kristin Davis, Christian Siriano, Rachel Hunt, and Lydia Hearst.

It almost seems as though the event was more focused on the attending celebrities than the winners themselves. But then, celebrities have always played a huge part in shaping wedding trends.
