Naked Madonna Sells for Mad Cash

People know you can see this picture on the Internet for free, right?

A black and white, nude photo of Madonna from 1979 has sold to an unidentified buyer for a whopping $37,500. Auctioned by the famous Christie's, the photo beat previous estimates of its value by over $20,000. So what's so great about the photo that someone just had to have the original?

In it, Madonna is quite nude and quite "natural." The photo was taken by photographer Lee Friedlander, who described her as "very confident, a street-wise girl." Madonna made a mere $25 for the shoot, but has proved to be way more lucrative in her business dealings since. Just this week, she topped Billboard's top money-makers list, beating acts like Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen with a $242.2 million year in 2008.

Something tells me she doesn't regret the very naughty picture, only getting $25 for it, or the resulting auction. She's too busy laughing her way to the Kabbalah bank, my friends.
