Naomi Campbell’s Bollywood Debut Bombs At Box-Office
Supermodel Naomi Campbell's first Bollywood movie Karma, Confessions And Holi has failed to set the box-office alight, according to reports. Campbell's debut Bollywood venture did not go down well with critics, who branded the film “an unholy mess" and "undignified", and said that it “lacks everything a good movie consists of”.
Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, who is the president of Universal Society of Hinduism, said in a statement that the film had nothing much to do with "karma" or "Holi” and that although Hindus welcome international film-makers including Hindu subjects in their films, they should be taken seriously and treated respectfully. The film, which also stars rapper-turned-actor Sticky Fingaz and Sopranos star Vincent Curatola, was directed by Manish Gupta and co-produced by Robert De Niro's daughter Drena.
