Natasha Richardson Dies At Age 45

Natasha Richardson, 1963-2009

Natasha Richardson, the talented stage and screen actress, has died.

Her death is the result of a tragic ski accident in which she suffered a traumatic brain injury. The accident occurred on Monday in Canada and she was later transported to New York.

In a statement, Richardson's husband, Liam Neeson, and their family said, "Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time."

Natasha is survived by her mother Vanessa Redgrave, sister Joely Richardson, husband Liam Neeson, and two sons, Michael, 13, and Daniel, 12.
