New Batman Movie Shooting Next Year, Says Gary Oldman
The bats are loose.
Batman fans have reason to celebrate. Gary Oldman, who has played police officer Jim Gordon in the last two Batman flicks, said a new chapter will start filming next year.
The actor let the news slip to fans and reporters at Comic Con in San Diego yesterday.
"We start shooting next year," he said. "Which means the movie won't come out for another two years. But you didn't hear it from me!"
He wouldn't give any other details, except the fact that Christopher Nolan will again direct Christian Bale as the famous caped crusader.
So hopefully Oldman won't lose his job after revealing juicy, unconfirmed details. At least he'll have work elsewhere. He's currently at the convention to promote his new movie, The Book of Eli, a post-apocalyptic thriller starring Denzel Washington.
