Is Knoxville, Tennessee, suddenly going to see a huge increase in tourism? We would wager a yes to that one. After all, New Moon, the second in the Twilight series, is set to premiere there.

You're probably thinking Knoxville, Tennessee, is pretty random, right? Well, they actually hold a big movie premiere every year with all the proceeds benefitting Variety, the children's charity of Eastern Tennessee. But we feel like they're kind of moving up. Last year they premiered Journey to the Center of the Earth and raised $300,000 in ticket sales and endorsements.

But don't you have a slight feeling New Moon is going to make a bit more than $300,000 in their big premiere? The premiere promoters are hoping that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner show up. And we're not sure why they wouldn't. Don't you think they'd want to be there for the big U.S. premiere of their movie? Even if it is in Tennessee. It's for a good cause.

The Regal Entertainment Group is holding the premiere at the Regal Cinemas' Pinnacle 18 at Turkey Creek. New Moon will be officially released on November 20, but the Tennessee Premiere date has not yet been confirmed.

So, no buying your Knoxville, Tennessee, plane tickets just yet!
