Nick Cannon Tells Howard Stern About Kidney Failure

Nothing's going to keep Nick Cannon down, or so it would seem anyway.

Not even a hospital stint, he told Howard Stern in an interview this morning ... on his first day back to work.

It's been just two weeks since Cannon was hospitalized for kidney issues, and he regailed stern with the full story, telling him that doctors originally thought he had acute mountain sickness while vacationing in Aspen, Colorado.

But that wasn't the case in the slightest. Cannon explains, "They thought it was kidney stones, then a kidney infection. They found out my kidney's were not functioning well. So we said 'mild kidney failure.'"

Cannon noted that while he still has a couple of more procedures coming up, "I'm good. I'm feeling 100 percent."

While Stern and Cannon have gone for each other's jugulars in the past, the animosity seems to have passed with Stern commenting that perhaps Cannon should slow down from his many jobs and focus on staying healthy.

Cannon explained, "Because of this situation I know that I don't need to go so hard. It's more about just my way of living ... It's really about taking some time."

No doubt the hospital scare was a bit of a wake up call, but something tells me Cannon isn't going to slow down that much.

Cannon and Stern have now buried the hatchet on their feud and spent a bit of time talking about working together on America's Got Talent.

Stern noted, "I could not do your schedule and have the pressures of two young kids at home."

The shock jock also tried to get Cannon to talk about rumored flings with Lindsay Lohan and Kim Kardashian, but he would only talk about one lady -- wife Mariah Carey.

Cannon shared, "I'm happier than happy," adding, "I'm in debt to her forever" for helping him through his health issues.
