Obama Arrives in the Nation's Capitol

The Big Bird has left the beach. Barack Obama and fam said goodbye to Hawaii on Thursday, leaving the island state after a 12-day vacation that was filled with golf, shaved-ice, and occasional nipple-baring.

The soon-to-be first family headed to Chicago on Friday, and will head to Washington D.C. Sunday - their new hometown. Sasha and Malia are set to start school Monday.

Since the Bushies are still occupying the building, the Obamas will shack up in a hotel - the historic Hay-Adams - until January 15.
