Oprah Winfrey and Huffington Post Join Forces for "HuffPost OWN"
Oprah's OWN Comes to HuffingtonPost.com
Oprah Winfrey and Huffington Post have launched a new section of the website called Huffington OWN.
Why, exactly?
Doesn't Oprah already have her own Oprah.com site, with a section that houses OWN stuff too?
Why, yes. Yes, she does.

It seems redundant to create a HuffPost OWN section of HuffingtonPost.com only to include content from Oprah.com.
Winfrey noted that she is "delighted to join the conversation" at the Huffington Post site, with Arianna Huffington gushing that Winfrey is "made for the Internet." Un-huh. Sounds like Oprah's hoping to jump on the Internet traffic juggernaut that is HuffPo.
If you're still unclear on why this partnership is happening, I'll let Oprah explain:
"The beginning of our brand new special section of OWN, The Oprah Winfrey Network, on one of the most respected, energizing digital platforms worldwide, The Huffington Post. Thank you, Arianna, for allowing us to extend "the conversation" about empowerment and how we can grow and evolve ourselves to the truest expression of who we each are meant to be. This is my calling, my heart's deepest desire: to fulfill my highest potential and to share what I know to help you do the same."

HuffPost OWN will primarily focus on lifestyle advice and personal inspiration, so look to it for all your self-help needs. Or, not.
