Paramedics were called to the Welsh set of the Ridley Scott-directed Robin Hood after an actor was reportedly injured during filming, it was reported. Neither the name nor the condition of the actor was immediately available.

The incident came as hundreds of crew and cast converged on a beach at Freshwater West, Pembrokeshire, to film bloody battle scenes in which Russell Crowe, as Robin, took to a white horse. The actor later traded the steed for a golf buggy, chauffeuring cast members around the beach. The newly trim Crowe (he had been required to bulk up for his previous part as the CIA boss in Body Of Lies) reportedly went on a special low-glycemic diet for the role of Robin, including such nutritious items as porridge, apricots and nuts.
