Paris Hilton is "far from dim", says Peaches Geldof
Paris Hilton is "far from dim" and Anna Nicole Smith was the "most grossly exploited reality star" according to celebrity wild child Peaches Geldof. The 20-year-old daughter of rocker Bob Geldof and his late ex-wife Paula Yates gives her view on four of the most popular reality TV shows in recent years, as a guest commentator for Nylon magazine.
She says of The Anna Nicole Show, which focuses on the exploits of the late Playboy model who died from a drug overdose: "I spent the majority of the time watching the show with my hands covering my eyes, mouth and ears. If there were a prize for 'most grossly exploited reality star', Anna Nicole Smith would win it, hands down." Peaches - whose mother died of a heroin overdose in 2000 - adds: "As silly as it sounds, it's heart-wrenching stuff and you root for her." She saves the most praise for her friend Paris Hilton, who had her own reality TV series, The Simple Life, in which she appeared with on-off best friend Nicole Richie. She says: "Paris comes across as sweet albeit slightly dim (though I can vouch in real life that she is far from dim!)" In her review of Flavor of Love, she describes rapper Flavor Flave as, "An ex-addict with a mouth full of gold teeth," and she also comments on House of Carters, the reality show that focused on former Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter and his family.
