LimeLife pal Patti Stanger dated real estate mogul Andy Friedman for years, and her August 17 announcement via Twitter that their relationship was over shocked us all. We have a new report on how Stanger's been dealing with the split -- here's why she's keeping her engagement ring!

When we interviewed Patti Stanger last Valentine's Day, shee dished all about the four-carat, heart-shaped, non-conflict diamond from Israel that her fiance Andy Friedman had splashed out on. Patti told Radar in an interview that went live Thursday, "Technically speaking, he who breaks up gives it back. But I actually gave him a really expensive watch so if he were to take the ring back he'd have to give me back the watch!"

Looks like Andy Friedman's keeping his watch! Without those four carats adding weight to her load, Patti Stanger wasn't at all hesitant to admit that her breakup has done a bit to suppress her appetite and make her want to get skinny. On how she lost 20 lbs., Stanger said, "I'm on the Sensa diet... It's a little magic powder based on Dr. Hirsh's clinical trials and studies and it basically signals the brain that you're full through smellology." She admitted that she splurged on Haagen-Dazs twice in the past two days and said that she's using her slim to new look to attract a new love. "I'm getting old here!" Stanger, who's in her mid-forties, exclaimed. (Don't be silly Patti, the forties are the new thirties!)
