Paula Abdul is Bringing Back 'Star Search'

She's coming back!

And bringing an old favorite, Star Search, along with her. We don't know what we're more excited about: seeing Paula again or welcoming back Star Search. We just have one question. Will Paula Abdul be able to fill Ed McMahon's shoes?

It seems like forever ago Paula announced she wouldn't be returning to American Idol. And while American Idol has been getting on OK without her (though we still miss her!), we've been waiting to see what Paula's next move would be. And it sounds like this is it!

Paula is currently finalizing a deal that will bring 80s talent contest Star Search back to ABC. The network isn't commenting, but it sounds like Paula is going to both host and judge. We think that's a fantastic idea, since Paula Abdul is clearly qualified to do both.

Though we hope Paula pulls off Star Search without a hitch, we also kind of hope she hasn't lost all of her crazy; that's partly what entertains us so much! Word is Star Search may debut this summer, which means Paula could still be free to be a judge on Simon Cowell's X Factor next year.
