Penelope Cruz, Gerard Butler, Nicole Kidman: Pledge $250,000 to Haiti
5 celebrities get generous.
Add these 5 names to your list of "celebs you promise not to hate on"! 5 more Tinsel Towners made extremely generous donations to Haiti in special charitable installments over the next five years, ensuring that both aid and development plans will benefit.
The five celebrities will donate $50,000 for the next five years to Haiti, and the donations will be going to Artists for Peace and Justice's Haiti Relief Fund.
Penelope Cruz, pictured, was one of the celebs who pledged to donate $250,000, along with her partner Javier Bardem, and Nicole Kidman, Gerard Butler, and Daniel Craig as well.
The funds were donated thanks to a special fundraising brunch organized by the filmmaker Paul Haggis, who also gave a donation to Artists for Peace and the Haiti Relief Fund. The filmmaker-- who worked on Casino Royale and Terminator: Salvation-- stated that he's dedicated to seeing the funds help those in medical need, rebuild schools, and support all relief efforts.

Penelope Cruz recently urged people to donate to charities, saying "I encourage people to look at the website, Artists for Peace & Justice, and to do whatever they can because everything counts, everything will make a difference to somebody else's life."
It's great to to hear that the donations continue to roll in to help Haitians in need. I'm feeling especially hopeful that we've gotten into the swing of continued aid for disaster and disease-ravaged countries, and that many of us will give second and third donations to Haiti over 2010. Here's how you can donate.
