Perfumes That Stink
From Our Friends at Total Beauty
What, you mean that Jean Nate doesn't smell delish? Total Beauty's giving us a run-down of perfumes that you should not buy for friends and family-- or for yourself-- unless you hate them. Because they majorly stink. If you do like any of their recommendations, though, speak up! We're curious.
Total Beauty leafed through their fragrance reviews (of which there are plenty) to determine which perfumes have been rated consistently low, and with the harshest comments. Shall we take a peek at some of the real stinkers, before heading over to catch the full presentation?
*Elizabeth Arden White Diamonds: Elizabeth Arden didn't fair well on Total Beauty's list. While White Diamonds is packaged quite beautifully, it's been called a "granny perfume" by reviewers, who say that it's strong and old-fashioned.
*Yves Saint Laurent Beauty Parisienne Eau de Parfum (Pictured): Complaints include that this fragrance "screams old lady," is "not youthful at all," and has a "dated fragrance." One person even described it as a "grandmother and trees" scent. Next!
*Elizabeth Arden M by Mariah Carey: Apparently, this one smells like "burnt marshmallow." As Total Beauty put it, "Another reader says she 'literally gagged' when she breathed it in." Shoot. Avoid!
