Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth Get 2 Christmas Trees
A tree for every room!
I've always wondered how couples keep their own holiday traditions alive when they get married. What if one person wants a real tree and one wants a fake one? Well, Peter Facinelli and wife Jennie Garth have figured out their own solution to that problem. Just get two trees!
If you have the room for them, why not? For some people, Christmas trees are a big deal and they often like to carry on their own family traditions. So, when Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth disagreed about what kind to get, they just got two; one for each of them.
According to Peter, who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the Twilight movies, "My wife wants to do the fake tree because it's easy but I am so anti fake trees... In one room we do a nice fake tree, and in the other room I get to have my tree with all the pine needles falling all over the place." We guess that makes sense. Though we're guessing Jennie's fake tree is out in the main room while Peter's real one is in some sort of "man-room" that only he goes into.
And we do think the reason Peter wants a real tree is pretty sweet. He says, "What's fun is that I get to go and pick out the tree with the kids, and then it becomes an experience... Sometimes I'll hide behind the tree. I used to pretend I was the talking tree. The kids loved it. I would be like, 'Hey, pick me - I am the best Christmas tree!'" Awww, Peter totally sounds like an amazing dad.
It's great that Peter and Jennie can put their Christmas tree disagreements aside and make a compromise. I'm sure their kids love having two trees in the house!
