Peter Facinelli's Dangerous 'Eclipse' Stunt
He's got a bootleg copy!
Peter Facinelli wasn't messing around when it came to filming Eclipse. He did his own stunts... And very dangerous ones at that! In fact, he recorded one stunt from a different angle, so you can see just how dangerous it is. And yes, he was afraid!

We all know and love Peter Facinelli as the Cullen father, Dr. Carlisle, in the Twilight films. But not only is Carlisle Cullen the family patriarch and the town doctor, he also has a knack for hunting vampires. He needs to be fast on his feet, which means he had to perform a stunt or two in Eclipse.
While visiting Jimmy Kimmel last night, Peter Facinelli talked about his crazy stunt and actually showed video of it that he took himself! Peter tells Jimmy, "I taped my phone onto the truck in front of me. So this is a bootleg copy of me doing my stunt. You don't want to do this at home for sure!" And he's totally correct. The video shows Peter running and jumping on a super fast treadmill, that just happens to be getting pulled down the road in the forest by a cart. Um, dangerous, much?

That's what Jimmy Kimmel thought too, and Peter definitely agreed saying, "We were kind of strapped in, but if you fell forward it would be ugly. You couldn't go anywhere 'cause you were kind of buckled in, but if I fell my face would hit the mat." Jimmy actually thinks producers could be trying to kill Peter Facinelli, but Peter's not worried. They need him for Breaking Dawn!
Good point. As always, we love Peter Facinelli's serious Twilight dedication!
