Pink Blasts Michael Vick After Eagles signing
Animal-lover Pink hopes dog-fighting shame American football star Michael Vick gets “torn to pieces” by fans, after he signed for her hometown team. The Philadelphia Eagles have controversially given Vick a chance to resurrect his career, after he was convicted in November 2007 for helping to run an illegal dog-fighting ring.
But outraged Pink is not as willing to forgive and forget as the Eagles. She fumed on her Twitter page: “Wow. Michael Vick in MY hometown, Philly. of all the places. “I hope the fans tear him to pieces like his beloved dogs.” Quarterback Vick served 18 months of a 23-month sentence in federal prison after admitting his involvement in the dog-fighting ring. Vick was indefinitely suspended from the NFL and released by the Atlanta Falcons following his guilty plea. He has signed an initial $1.6m one-year deal with the Eagles after being conditionally reinstated by the National Football League.
