Prince Michael and Paris Jackson Grammy Speech: Video
Prince Michael and Paris Jackson turn out composed...and gorgeous.
One Grammy moment that's catching some controversy after Sunday night's 2010 Grammys broadcast is the speech that Prince Michael and Paris Jackson gave. Michael Jackson's two older children received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys on their father's behalf, and both the content of their speeches and the reason they spoke out is under big scrutiny this morning.
Critics suggest that tween-age Prince Michael and Paris Jackson (who have clearly matured both physically and emotionally in the seven months since their father's death) are being "paraded" around and unreasonably transformed into public figures in the wake of their father's death. Some members of the press have explored whether their acceptance of MJ's award -- which Prince Michael said made him "proud" -- was therapeutic, while others say clearly Paris' loss for words as she spoke of her "Daddy" demonstrates what a nervous moment it was for the two kids.
We say great job, Prince Michael and Paris Jackson. Here's the video -- watch it and then read about another Grammy flub, when Taylor Swift dropped and broke one of her four awards after the show!
