Queen Latifah Planning for Baby with Girlfriend?

We can only hope.

Wouldn't Queen Latifah be an awesome mom? She'd be tough, but loving, and of course she has her supportive partner of many years to back her up. Word has it that Queen Latifah and Jeanette Jenkins are going to try for a baby in 2011!

The National Enquirer had a source approach them about Queen Latifah's plans.

"Queen and Jeanette are incredibly happy with each other, and they want to start a family," a source told the Enquirer. "A baby is their No. I priority and they're considering all their options."

Jeanette could have the child, since Queen Latifah has work agreements coming up, but that's not their only option.

"Surrogacy and adoption are two other possibilities. Neither one of them is hung up on where the baby comes from," the insider added. "They know they're going to fall head over heels with their child however the baby comes to them. They both feel children are a blessing."

I hope this story is true! I know that Queen Latifah would be a great parent, and it would be nice to see another same-sex couple with kids in Hollywood. I would like to see Queen Latifah adopt a child in need, but whatever works! Maybe then we'll actually get to read some more personal interviews from the Queen about her partner and her plans... she's been famously mum on the subject.
