Bilson Hot in Short-Shorts, but No Diamond

Rachel Bilson was devastated to reveal last August that she and on-and-off-again beau Hayden Christensen had split. Wednesday, however, Christensen and Bilson were spotted grabbing juices and looking -- what's this? -- happy together.

Since last winter the rumors have continued to orbit: Rachel Bilson and former fiance Hayden Christensen were back together, or they weren't or...they were, but there was not a whole lot of evidence of their reunion except for a few unaffectionate airport photos dating back to April. But on Wednesday a quick-clicking photographer caught some shots of the pair outside of a juice shop in Los Angeles as they grabbed cool drinks in the near-80 degree heat. Bilson and Christensen paused to exchange words with Mad Men's Jon Hamm, whom they're said to have befriended at the Vancouver Olympics in 2010.

Sure, Bilson and Christensen appeared pretty relaxed in the presence of their pal, we can't help but observe that there may still be some tension between the couple.Body language experts have a field day with this kind of stuff; Bilson stood protectively with her arms crossed throughout the conversation, and it wasn't until she and Christensen parted ways that both of them were snapped smiling.

Another important detail: 29-year-old Bilson is not wearing the engagement ring that her beau proposed with in 2008 after they met on the set of Jumper. She was, however, sporting some hottie short-shorts that no male in the vicinity could have ignored -- certainly not her man. No, maybe Bilson is not in the throes of some pre-wedding workout routine, but as she prepares to headline her next project, the TV series Hart of Dixie -- in addition to her gorgeous new home line for Macy's -- almost any American guy would tell Christensen to put in ring back on that busy beauty...fast.
