Rachelle Lefevre is Shocked She Won't Be in Eclipse
Another Victoria
It seems that a scheduling conflict wasn't the full reason Rachelle Lefevre was booted from being in the thrid Twilight movie, Eclipse. And, of course, she's not very happy about it.
Rachelle says, "I was stunned...I was fully committed to the Twilight saga." Rachelle loved playing the role of Victoria and says she turned down several other roles so make room for it. She made sure to only accept roles with very short filming schedules.
Summit Entertainment says the scheduling conflict is for a movie called Barney's Vision that Rachelle is set to be in. The movie starts filming on the same day as Eclipse. But allegedly, the filming schedule for Barney's Vision is less than two weeks, so Rachelle didn't think there would be a problem. She says, "Given the length of filming for Eclipse, never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap.... I am hurt deeply by Summit's surprising decision to move on without me."
Given the fact that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are both filming pretty big movies right now, we think Rachelle should be able to film a little indie movie.
.
Rachelle Lefevre claims, "I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part. I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the Twilight audience."
We'll miss her too. We're sure Bryce Dallas Howard will do an excellent job of playing Victoria, but we hate when film sagas switch their main characters in the middle of the saga.
