Random News of the Day: Vanessa Williams Gets NYC Bus Dedication
Vanessa Williams Receives NYC Bus Dedication
Celebrities get special dedications all the time -- but Vanessa Williams received a truly unique one -- a New York City bus.
There was a red ribbon cutting ceremony and everything!
Surprisingly, this isn't the first time a celebrity has received his or her own New York City bus dedication.

Williams joins fellow Gray Line bus dedication recipients Cyndi Lauper, Liza Minnelli, Marc Anthony, Whoopi Goldberg and Donald Trump. (Talk about a motley crew.)
Since Williams is a native New Yorker, the bus named in her honor as part of Big Apple's Ride of Fame makes sense. Kind of.
The honor really doesn't mean a whole lot, I suppose -- it's not like having a star on the Walk of Fame or anything. (Which, you buy yourself, in case you didn't know.)
Still, Williams was up for the ribbon cutting ceremony, even tweeting a photo of herself with her bus, writing, "Here's my own Nyc double decker bus (in the) Ride Of Fame. Proud New Yorker!"

The bus, which includes Williams' photograph and signature, will offer sightseeing tours through the city.
In other more serious actress news, Williams sat down with the ladies of The View this week to talk about her new show, 666 Park Avenue which we can not WAIT to see.
