She's Just Like You or Me
Reese Witherspoon is committing a major celeb no-no--trying to convince us that she's normal and "just like us." Come off it, Reese: the millions and the glam life kind of set you apart from the rest of us. Here's what Miss Witherspoon had to say in a recent interview.
Reese was recently seen talking to press outside of the Avon Foundation for Charity Event at Cipriani's 42nd Street. This quote actually made me mad, because she didn't say that you have to work hard to get where you want, or that you should stick to your dreams. Apparently, if you're lucky, it'll just happen to you! Ahem:
"It isn't anything I chose in life, it just sort of happened that way. We all just do the best we can. We're all just people trying to get through life however we can ... I'm thrilled to be any sort of inspiration to anyone!"
Maybe that's another thing that helps Reese stand out from the pack--she's extraordinarily lucky. She must be reflecting a lot these days, because she also said that her new perfume, In Bloom, is inspired by the smells of her childhood in Tennessee. It sounds lovely, but I still can't get over that first quote.
