'Remember Me' Audience Was All Twi-Hards

Remember Me's opening weekend gets B-grade among Twi-hards.

As we reported earlier, Alice In Wonderland cursed the competition at the box office this weekend, earning $62 million against Remember Me's $8.3 mill. Turns out the Emilie de Ravin/Robert Pattinson audience was almost all female...so why didn't they like the movie more?

Experts are calling Remember Me's $8 million weekend "respectable," and as the film took only $16 million to produce, they're halfway to earning out already. It's said that 84 percent of the Remember Me audience was female and that those girls are giving the flick a B. Here's what's behind the score.

First of all, there's a controversial ending to Remember Me. We won't spill it, but by Monday morning it was receiving some flack from critics and viewers. Plus the plot that's based on life in 9/11-touched New York City is being called a "downer" by some critics...and the Emilie de Ravin effect isn't helping much either.

Fans don't want to see Robert Pattinson cozying up with yet another co-star, even if it's just onscreen. We've given the pass to the Kristen Stewart chemistry because the hero-heroine dynamic between Pattinson and Stewart is what attracted us to Rob in the first place. But seeing Pattinson alongside Emilie de Ravin is not only a little hard to believe (we all know now that he's with Kristen Stewart in real life), it's just not what we want. Robert Pattinson kissing in a shower, okay. Robert Pattinson kissing another girl in a shower? Suddenly it rubs the psyche the wrong way.

How will we feel when Robert Pattinson gets naked with 40 women in the orgy scene for Bel Ami? I don't know if I can bear it.
