Rihanna's Second Single Leaked
Will this one fare better?
When the first single from Rihanna's new album was released, there weren't very many happy fans. People seemed really down on "Russian Roulette," so we're wondering it the second single, "Wait Your Turn" will fare better.
We actually didn't hate "Russian Roulette." It was unlike anything we've yet heard from Rihanna, but we figure she's growing as an artist. And yes, it was a lot darker than songs like "Umbrella," but it was still a pretty fabulous song.
But lots of people didn't agree with us and, so, it seems like Rihanna's people wanted to leak the next song from her new album, Rated R, so fans wouldn't start wandering away. But we're not sure how much better "Wait Your Turn" is going to do. It is kind of catchy, but it's also a pretty dark song; not as much so as "Russian Roulette," but it's certainly not happy and bouncy. We had to listen to it a few times before we could really get into it.
In any event, we don't think Rihanna will be losing too many fans. Lots of people don't like change, but Rihanna is still young and growing and we think fans will appreciate that. Not to mention, she's been though a lot this year, so it makes sense for some of that darkness to come through in her music.
The new album, Rated R, is due out on November 23, and we have a feeling there will be a happy song or two on there somewhere! What do you think of "Wait Your Turn"?
