Robert Pattinson Bummed Over Missing Kristen Stewart And Coachella

Rob told insiders he wanted to go to Coachella too.

When you're making tens of millions a year filming back-to-back blockbusters, there's not much time for play. Robert Pattinson is said to be learning this the hard way, after he missed out on two of his biggest loves this weekend: Kristen Stewart and a crazy-fun music festival.

A source suggests that Pattinson may be frustrated with his work schedule as he's still on-set in Budapest for Bel Ami, which keeps him thousands of miles and nearly half a day's worth of time zones away from Southern California, where girlfriend Kristen Stewart is staying. Celeb photogs caught shots of a smiling Stewart dressed super-casually in sunglasses and a black t-shirt as she took in the performers and crowds at Coachella over the weekend. It's reported Stewart's older brother Cameron accompanied her, along with close pals Michael and Misty.

Nearly 150 world-famous music acts took to the festival's stages, which would have been right up Kristen Stewart's alley -- and probably Rob's as well. One source told our pals at Hollywood Life, "Kristen is a fierce, independent woman. She was rocking out at the festival having a great time ... Kristen was totally in her element at Coachella -- she lives for indie bands."

A source has published an account of Robert Pattinson revealing why he was so psyched to hit up the Coachella scene: "[Pattinson] had hoped to take a break from work to party with Kristen and co whilst listening to some of his favourite bands including Scots act, Camera Obscura." [sic]

If you've followed LimeLife's exclusive interviews with Bobby Long, the longtime Pattinson pal and Twilight soundtrack musician, then you know very well that Robert Pattinson boasts close ties to the British and American indie music scenes. That, combined with the fact that Rob's native Britain holds national music festivals as a longstanding and beloved tradition, would certainly have been factors in Pattinson's reported disappointment in missing out on Coachella.
