Robert Pattinson Is Paranoid About Fame

Instant fame can throw you off.

Robert Pattinson became the breakout star of 2008 when Twilight hit theatres and his portrayal of intense and sexy vampire Edward Cullen made him an instant heartthrob for women everywhere. However, is the instant fame all it's cracked up to be?

The New Moon star tells Entertainment Tonight that he has become a lot more paranoid since the success of Twilight and says, "Change isn't always good. I'm always really worried about ruining [friends'] lives, especially with people that aren't famous. It's such a massive change."

What we ladies really want to know is if the rumors about him dating co-star Kristen Stewart, who plays his love interest Bella Swan in the movie, are true. Pattinson is single and says that fame hasn't helped his social life. "It's funny, you can't even get through to people on the phone," says Rob. "[Personal assistants] won't even let you ring people up. I can't even ring down to reception and say let [visitors] up. I have to literally go down and carry them."
