Robert Pattinson Makes Appearance at Friend's Concert

Robert Pattinson's such a good guy. He might get mobbed when he goes out in public, but that doesn't mean he's not going to buy his buddies beers and hang out at a gig. What a stand-up guy! He must be missing Kristen, though.

Robert took the night off to catch his friend, Johnny Flynn, playing a May 26th concert at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto. I'd like to think I wasn't the only person mildly irritated that Flynn's acquaintances were tweeting about Rob being there. Fan moment much?

"Robert Pattinson bought us beer tonight and gave me doggie treats for layla Lou! Nice guy! #iliketwilightnow," musician Jeremy Fetzer tweeted. Later, Caitlin Rose added "dressing room chat: 'You look like Robert Pattinson... Oh s-t you are Robert Pattinson.' seriously."

I'm sure Rob would have preferred to have an outing without a Twitter-blast--Twitter is such a pain for celebrities.

Speaking of Robert Pattinson, I have a recommendation for anyone who wants to appreciate Bel Ami more: get the book! I am reading it, and it is fantastic. I'm not much of a classics fan, besides Dickens, but Guy de Maupassant's 1885 book is awesome. Plus, if you get into the author, you'll learn that his background was fascinating as well--he tried to cut his own throat and was committed to a well-known asylum to live out the rest of his days. His epitaph? "I have coveted everything and taken pleasure in nothing." Heavy stuff.

But back to Rob! Is Cosmopolis on your list, and do you think that the people who saw Rob out and about should have stayed quiet?
