Robert Pattinson Signs Guitar For Homeless Charity

Robert Pattinson's stop in L.A. music store leads to good deed.

Newsflash: Robert Pattinson is in Los Angeles. Last week at this time he was reported to be in London filming Bel Ami (and heckling musician friend Marcus Foster), but now, back on the West Coast, Pattinson did a last-minute good deed at a guitar store on Tuesday.

It's reported that on Tuesday afternoon, Pattinson meandered into Norman's Rare Guitars in Tarzana, a region in the San Fernando Valley of L.A. The owner is an active supporter of a charity (charity details below) and asked Rob whether he'd mind signing a guitar that would be put up for auction. Rob obliged and posed for a shy-ish photo of the signed guitar. Until Saturday the Fender Telecaster is up on eBay for $3,000, one hundred percent of which will benefit the nonprofit charity Midnight Mission.

Midnight Mission is described as the following: "We provide an array of life changing sevices for homeless men, women and children. They include education, job training and placement, drug and alcohol treatment and referral services. Additionally, we provide basic subsistence services and transitional housing for families."

The seller of the guitar that RPattz signed has this info under the eBay description:"Brand new Fender Telecaster signed by ultra hot Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) from the Twilight movie series and Remember Me. Robert happened to shopping for instruments at Norm's Rare Guitars and Norm (a great friend of The Midnight Mission), asked him if he'd sign a guitar that could be auctioned off to support the services of the charity. Robert was gracious enough to say yes and do it. This terrifically talented actor and singer/musician even consented to have his picture taken with the signed instrument. I didn't post it here, but have it available for authentication (believe it or not this humble actor is bit camera shy when not at work). Get this now!! I have seen tons of signed pictures and posters, but not a Fender guitar. And as you real fans know, Robert is an excellent musician - he plays piano, guitar and sings! So it's a winner - a great and unique gift for you or someone you love and you help people who don't always feel loved.

All proceeds from this sale will support the homeless men, women and children that the mission serves.
