Robert Pattinson Thinks New Moon Looks Amazing
Well, the trailer is already pretty great...
Twilight was the big winner at the MTV Movie Awards last weekend. The entire cast made the movie the phenomenon it is, but it's Robert Pattinson that the fans just can't get enough of. He won for Breakthrough Male Performance and everyone watching could feel that he is on the road to being a Hollywood superstar.
Did you know that the Twilight cast attended the MTV Movie Awards last year too? MTV caught up with Robert Pattinson backstage at the awards show and had a chance to ask the Twilight hunk a few questions. The commented on the fact that nobody knew who they were last year and asked how he found the reception this year and Robert responded, "I mean, it's completely polar-opposite. I didn't even think anyone knew who I was last year."
When asked about how he felt about winning for Best Fight, Robert joked, "It made me feel really tough; really hard. I don't think I've ever won a fight in my life, so it was cool...yeah, Cam won. That's crazy that he's won two years in a row."
The part that surprised us in his interview is when he talked about New Moon. He said that he hadn't seen the trailer and wanted it to be a surprise. Here is the excerpt from the interview:
MTV: We're about to debut the New Moon trailer. Give us your reaction to it.
Pattinson: I haven't seen it yet.
MTV: You haven't?
Pattinson: This will be my first time seeing it.
MTV: Well, I'm sure you've seen the 15-second preview online, where you're kissing Kristen, right?
Pattinson: I haven't seen anything! I mean, from what I've seen from playback and stuff when I've been shooting it, it looks amazing. So I think [New Moon] should be [good]. I'm keeping it as a surprise from myself.
Robert Pattinson is currently in New York to film, what he refers to as "kind of drama, love-story kind of thing. It's cool; it's a really great script," before heading back to Vancouver at the end of the summer to start work on Eclipse, the third installment in the Twilight saga.
