Roger Daltrey Plans First Solo Tour in 20 Years
The Who star Roger Daltrey is to embark on a solo tour for the first time in 20 years. Roger, 65, will perform a number of shows later this year on The Use It Or Lose It Tour to keep his voice in shape.
He said: "I've only ever toured solo to keep my voice in shape. Singers need to sing." However Roger admitted that he isn't concerned about not having songwriter and guitarist Pete Townshend on tour with him. Roger added: "Being a solo singer does give me the freedom to do songs from my outside influences. I am going to reapproach songs I haven't sung for a while and hope they will be distinctively my own."
