Rudy Giuliani's Daughter Arrested for Shoplifting
She tried to steal a hairnet...
Caroline Giuliani, the daughter of former New York Mayor and one-time Presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani, has been arrested on suspicion of stealing makeup from a Sephora store in Manhattan.
According to police, Giuliani, 20, was taken into custody after she was caught on store cameras attempting to lift lipstick, lip gloss, skin cream and a hairnet from the Sephora beauty supplies store on East 86th near Lexington.
The total stolen amounted to around $100, and Giuliani was spotted being led out of the store in handcuffs by police.
Giuliani was then taken to the local precinct and charged with petit larceny and will have to appear before a judge at a later date. Sephora officials called the police soon after the incident and said they would not press charges.
"Caroline is a lovely young woman," her attorney, Michael Bachner, said in a statement. "Still, it would be inappropriate for me to comment while her matter is in the legal process."
This is not the first time Caroline has disappointed her father. In 2007, while her father was running for the Republican primary in the Presidential election, Caroline listed herself as a Barack Obama supporter on her Facebook page.
