Today is a milestone for British comedian Russell Brand. Katy Perry's ex marks his tenth year of being clean and sober.

The "Arthur" star, 37, who has been a vegetarian since he was 14, spent much of his youth experimenting with drugs and binge drinking but after many trips to rehab, managed to get clean a decade ago by, as they say in Alcoholics Anonymous, "taking it one day at a time."

To commemorate the event and let his fans know how he's doing, Brand Tweeted, "10 years clean ... Thanks for all your messages of love... Anyone can get clean, one day at a time ..."

The actor/comedian, who also suffers from ADHD and a bipolar disorder, is currently on a worldwide tour doing stand up and is presently in New Zealand.

Congratulations and keep coming back. It works if you work it. It won't if you don't, so work it 'cause you're worth it!
