Sandra Bullock Calls Son "Little Cajun Cookie"
Bullock growing ever-closer to baby Louis.
Sandra Bullock is all New Orleans this week as she commemorates the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. In a new interview with Matt Lauer, Bullock pokes loving fun at the Big Easy roots of her eight-month-old son, Louis Bardo Bullock, and opens up about the cosmic connection they share.
Sandra Bullock signed papers finalizing her adoption of Louis Bardo Bullock on August 13. The adoption took approximately nine months, but Bullock told Matt Lauer that Louis made the wait worthwhile: "It was a long process," Bullock tells Lauer in Tuesday's interview. "I did not circumvent. I wanted to do everything exactly the same way everyone else did. And -- it was -- he was always mine, you know? It wasn't like I felt like someone was going to take him away. But it was nice to have someone say, I think you're a fit parent."
Louis is the love of Bullock's life now that her marriage to Jesse James is over -- she told Lauer, "Everything works out the way the universe wants it to work out."
Sandra Bullock is at her New Orleans home this week as the U.S. remembers Hurricane Katrina, which ravaged the city in 2005. "How lucky am I?" Bullock asked regarding how the city has taken her in. Bullock donated an undiclosed amount for a $700,000 health clinic at Warren Easton High School that opened over the weekend. (The photo above is from Bullock's speech at Sunday's ribbon-cutting ceremony for the clinic.)
