Sarah Jessica Parker Recognizes Challenge of Motherhood
SJP Talks Babies
Sarah Jessica Parker is being totally real and admitting that having kids and working (especially in her biz) isn't exactly easy. Calling it the "eternal conflict," Sarah Jessica sat down with Glamour magazine to talk about her life. SJP fans, read on!
"The great challenge for me is to be all things to all people; I want to be a great mother, and I want to feel good when I'm at work. But it is hard," Sarah Jessica told Glamour.
"It's been amazing but complicated because of my current work schedule, which I have enormous regrets about," she said, being quite honest for a celeb. At least she doesn't keep promising that she'll take time off for her children, and never do it (like a certain other celeb we know!). That has to be embarrassing after a while.
Saying that she didn't want her children to have a sense of entitlement, Sarah Jessica commented that she's doing her best to keep everyone grounded-- including herself.
"When you are younger, you get swept away by grand gestures. When you have children and years invested, it's much more complicated," Sarah Jessica explained. "It's the day-to-day stuff; the kind of parent you are, the kind of partner you are. It's the little and big things as opposed to just the big things."
Will you see SJP's movie Did You Hear About the Morgans? in theatres? I'm actually really looking forward to this one. I hope that promotional duties aren't taking away too much of Sarah Jessica's time, though!
