'Seinfeld' Cast to Reunite on 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'
Cue the bass line.
If you're like the average Seinfeld fan, you spent much of the '90s following every inside joke, every quirky criticism and every insane obsession right along with Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer. And now, 11 years after the series ended, the cast is back for a much-anticipated reunion.
According to co-creator Larry David, the four main cast members of Seinfeld will reunite on his acclaimed HBO show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, in four installments.
"For years, I've been asked about a Seinfeld reunion," he said.
“I said I’d never do that. It’s a lame idea,” he told critics at a press tour. “But then I thought it might be funny to do on ‘Curb.’ I started to think of different scenarios and how we might pull that off.”
The "scenario" David decided upon will follow the actors, playing themselves, as they rehearse for a Seinfeld reunion episode. Some of the clips shown at the meeting featured the whole gang - Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards - reading script lines to each other.
Curb Your Enthusiasm returns for its new season on September 20th.
