Shaquille O'Neal, Worth $250 Million, Buys House for $250K [PHOTO]
Maybe It's Going to Be His Storage Unit?
Anyone we know would be more than happy to live in what appears to be in the photo a very, very nice home. We certainly would.
But what makes this particular house such a curiosity is its new owner, Shaquille O'Neal, who recently paid $235,000 for the 3,900-square-foot home in Mount Dora, Florida.
And it's a puzzler because, 1) Shaq is worth more than $250 million; 2) he already lives in a 70,000-square-foot, 11-bedroom, 13-bathroom home (with its own 20,000-foot basketball court and sports car-filled garage) in Miami; and 3) Mount Dora is 30 minutes away from his regular residence in Miami.

So, as TMZ.com points out, why the frick would Shaq buy a $235,000 home that would fit in the corner of his basketball court in Miami, in a town a half hour drive away from his place of residence?
It is a perfectly nice house … 3,900-square-feet, five bedrooms, four baths, granite countertops, wet bar, entertainment room and gorgeous cherry cabinets. It's a very nice house, in fact.
But, again, the entire thing wouldn't even take up one-quarter of the basketball court in his permanent residence, so why did the NBA legend purchase such a relatively modest home?
Come on, Shaq, respond to TMZ's queries about your latest real estate acquisition. We are really, really curious.
