So Shiloh Jolie-Pitt eschews traditionally feminine frocks for more comfy pants and tees. And so what if she loves the cartoon Ben 10 so much that she wants to be called Ben? As one rational mom writes at TheStir.com, get over it, people … little kids have big imaginations.

And that's a good, and perfectly normal, thing.

In Touch magazine, via Hollybaby.com, reports that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's five-year-old tomboy loves the Cartoon Network series Ben 10 so much that she likes to wear a Ben 10 costume and asks her family to refer to her as Ben.

"She will run around the house saying that she’s Ben 10, and ask if anybody knows where Shiloh is," a family insider In Touch, adding that 'rents Pitt and Jolie play along with Shiloh's Ben 10 fandom. "Shiloh says she is just like him and even wears his watch, which she claims allows her to turn into an alien."

That sounds adorable! And, again, completely in line with the wild imaginations most five-year-olds have. You know … invisible friends, tea parties with stuffed animals, wanting to grow up and be Big Bird.

As TheStir.com writer and mom Jacqueline Burt relates, her now 10-year-old daughter once wanted to wear nothing but red underpants, even outside the house, when she was obsessed with The Jungle Book and Mowgli.

And her son, intrigued by the contents of a box full of old costumes, was particularly fond of a donning a nun's costume, a desire he has since outgrown.

Bottom line, as Burt so pithily puts it, "Kids have big imaginations! And they like to dress up! Relax, gender-police!"
