This could be the most amazing thing ever! I had a feeling Simon Cowell wasn't too happy with Paula Abdul being booted from American Idol. So, I wasn't surprised to hear he was leaving to bring The X-Factor in America. But could he be bringing Paula along with him?

Is it Simon Cowell's plan to make The X Factor the new American Idol? It's quite possible. These are all rumors right now, but word is that Simon signed Paula on to be a judge on the upcoming show The X Factor. Simon judges the British version of the show and is bringing it to America in 2011. It's being rumored that this is Simon Cowell's last season on American Idol.

Allegedly, Paula Abdul signed a contract to be a judge on The X Factor for $4.5 million. So, it's not exactly the $10 million Paula initially wanted, but at least she'll have a job again; and one with Simon Cowell!

According to a Fox tipster, "Simon flew Paula to London and wined and dined her relentlessly over the course of several days, even introducing her to everyone who works on X Factor. But what really clinched the deal was Simon's pledge that she wouldn't have to deal with all the nonsense and infighting that she hated on Idol."

Does that mean Simon Cowell will be going after Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest next? I love Ryan and Simon's interactions and would love to keep the two of them together. It's quite possible Simon is going to make The X Factor the new American Idol. And I'd be more than OK with that! You?
