Singer Changes Words to St. Elmo's Fire: "Tim Tebow's Fire" [VIDEO]
John Parr Revamps St. Elmo's Fire Lyrics for Tebow
Look who jumped on the Tebow train.
80s singer John Parr is hoping to ride Tim Tebow's choo-choo of fame by switching up the words to his hit song, St. Elmo's Fire.
The result is "Tim Tebow's Fire."
How lame is that?
If you're a Tebow fan, I suppose it's kind of cool to have a tune that sums up the Denver Broncos quarterback's mega success.
If you're a St. Elmo's Fire fan, you may have other ideas.
Not that the theme song of St. Elmo's Fire was the soundtrack of my life or anything, but it doesn't seem like it should be tampered with.
Still, it looks like an opportunity for John Parr to put his name back out there. Or maybe he's just a super-fan who was inspired by Tebow?

At any rate, the lyrics to "Tim Tebow's Fire" are pretty weak:
"I can see a new horizon underneath the blazin' sky. I'll be where the eagle's flyin' higher and higher. Gonna be a man in motion, all I needs my Broncos team. Take me where my future's lyin,' Tim Tebows Fire."
Blech.
Parr explains to FOX31 Denver, "I was inspired by Tim Tebow, so I wanted to modify the lyrics ... in his honor of the way that he lives his life as being a great example."
Parr first performed "Tim Tebow's Fire" on ESPN in October, but it's getting some new exposure thanks to Tebow's continued popularity.
